Roomsheet Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026 · Roomsheet – Interior Design Proposal PDF from Any Store, version 1.0.0
In short
- No data collected or sent
- Only downloads the product photos you add
- Proposals stay on your computer
Roomsheet is a browser extension that turns the items in a store cart or on a product page into an interior design proposal PDF. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. The short version: Roomsheet does not collect, upload, sell or share any of your data.
What Roomsheet reads
Roomsheet reads a web page only when you ask it to: when you click Add items from this page, press the keyboard shortcut, or choose a Roomsheet item in the right-click menu. It then reads the item names, photo addresses, model or SKU numbers, quantities and prices shown on that page (or in the part you selected). It has no access to any other page, and it does not run in the background on the sites you visit.
What Roomsheet downloads
To put product photos in your PDF, Roomsheet downloads the photos of the items you added, from the image address the store's page used. That request goes to the store's own image server, the same as when you view the page; it carries no information about you or your proposals. Some image servers need your permission first: Roomsheet then shows an Allow photos button, and Chrome asks you to allow downloads from those image sites only. You can decline and add photos yourself.
What Roomsheet sends
Nothing. Your proposals, clients, prices and studio details are never sent to us or to anyone else. There are no analytics, ads, trackers or accounts. PDFs and CSV files are created on your computer and saved where you choose.
What Roomsheet stores
Using your browser's extension storage, on your computer only:
- Your proposals: client name and contact details, project address, rooms, items, small copies of their photos, prices, fees, notes and terms.
- Your studio profile: studio name, contact details, website, logo and default settings.
You can delete any proposal from the editor. Removing the extension deletes all of this data. Because nothing is stored online, we can't recover it for you; keep the PDFs you send.
Client information
If you enter your clients' names, addresses, phone numbers or emails, they stay in your browser on your computer. You are responsible for handling your clients' information as your local laws require.
Stores, prices and photos
Roomsheet is not affiliated with any store. Prices come from what the store page showed when you added an item and may change; check them before you send a proposal. Product photos belong to their owners; use them in proposals to your clients as the store's terms allow.
Permissions and why they are needed
| Permission | Why Roomsheet needs it |
|---|---|
activeTabPermission | Gives Roomsheet access to the current tab only after the user clicks the toolbar button, uses the keyboard shortcut or chooses the right-click menu item, so it can read the items on that page. Roomsheet has no access to any site until the user does one of these. |
scriptingPermission | Runs the page reader in the current tab (with the access activeTab grants after a user click) to read item names, photo addresses, quantities and prices, and shows a short "Added to proposal" message on that page. |
storagePermission | Saves the user's proposals, studio profile (name, address, logo) and default settings in the browser's extension storage on the user's computer. |
unlimitedStoragePermission | Proposals keep a small copy of each product photo so the PDF can include it. A designer with many proposals can go past the default storage limit; this keeps their saved proposals from failing to save. |
contextMenusPermission | Adds "Add items on this page to proposal" and "Add selected items to proposal" to the right-click menu. |
https://*/*, http://*/*Optional site access, asked when needed | Not granted at install. Some stores' image servers only let a page from the same site download their product photos. When a photo can't be downloaded for the PDF, Roomsheet shows an "Allow photos" button; Chrome then asks the user to allow downloads from those specific image sites only. It is used only to download the product photos the user added. |
Chrome Web Store User Data Policy
Roomsheet's use of any information it handles adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide Roomsheet's single purpose, is not sold, and is not used for advertising or to determine creditworthiness.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
